Your Responsibilities
As an Excavating Machine Operator, you will play a key role in completing excavation and site preparation work safely and efficiently. Your duties include:
Equipment Operation & Site Work
- Operate excavators and other heavy construction equipment
- Perform digging, trenching, grading, and material handling tasks
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and job specifications
- Follow site plans and supervisor instructions accurately
Safety & Compliance
- Understand and apply information from Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
- Adhere to company safety procedures and site regulations
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and complete onboard logs
Maintenance & Reporting
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
- Identify mechanical issues and report them promptly
- Keep accurate records of equipment usage and condition
Teamwork & Communication
- Work closely with site supervisors and crew members
- Communicate clearly to ensure smooth and safe operations
- Support other construction tasks when required
