Job Requirements
Sakuya Japanese Restaurant is seeking individuals who fulfill the following criteria
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years in a similar management role.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma (3 months to less than 1 year).
- Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in Canada.
Key Responsibilities
As a restaurant manager you will carry out the following tasks and duties

Analyze Budget | Boost and maintain the restaurant’s profits by evaluating the budget and implementing cost-saving strategies. |
Evaluate Daily Operations | Assess daily operations to ensure smooth running and identify areas for improvement. |
Modify Menu and Pricing | Adjust food preparation methods and menu prices in accordance with the restaurant’s budget and customer demand. |
Monitor Staff Performance | Supervise and evaluate staff performance, providing feedback and guidance where necessary. |
Plan and Organize Operations | Oversee the scheduling and planning of daily operations to ensure a seamless service. |
Recruit and Train Staff | Hire, train, and manage staff, ensuring they are well-prepared for their roles and responsibilities. |
Set Work Schedules | Create staff schedules to ensure optimal coverage during service hours. |
Ensure Health and Safety Compliance | Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring all regulations are followed. |
Negotiate with Suppliers | Liaise with suppliers to negotiate food and supply prices, ensuring cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality. |
Customer Service | Address customer complaints and ensure that excellent customer service standards are met. |
Operational Procedures | Determine and implement operational procedures to optimize service and efficiency. |
Maintain Inventory | Organize and maintain inventory to ensure the restaurant is always stocked with necessary supplies. |
