Job Requirements

We’re looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Language: English or French
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years of truck driving experience
  • Certifications (Required):
    • Class 1 or A Driver’s License
    • Class 3 or D Driver’s License
    • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Additional Skills:
    • Knowledge of documentation such as trip reports, accident or incident reports, and driver logbooks
    • Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle
    • Strong attention to detail and physical endurance

Job Responsibilities

As a Truck Driver at East Coast Traffic Control Inc., your duties will include:

Job ResponsibilityDescription
Operate TrucksDrive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
Pre-trip, En Route, and Post-trip InspectionsConduct inspections before, during, and after trips to ensure vehicle safety.
Load and Unload GoodsSafely load and unload goods onto the truck, ensuring proper handling.
Brake AdjustmentsPerform necessary brake adjustments to maintain vehicle safety and performance.
Emergency Roadside RepairsHandle minor emergency repairs while on the road to ensure smooth operations.
Record Cargo InformationKeep accurate records of cargo, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Complete DocumentationMaintain driver logbooks, accident reports, and trip reports as required.
Operate Communication SystemsUse communication devices (e.g., CB radios) for updates and safety coordination.
Safety and ComplianceEnsure all safety protocols and driving standards are followed during trips.
Attention to DetailCarefully check all equipment, cargo, and trip details for accuracy and safety.
