Job Requirements
We’re looking for individuals who:
- Are physically fit – able to walk or stand for extended periods
- Are comfortable working at heights (ladder use required)
- Bring a positive, customer-service attitude
- Can work independently and as part of a team
- Are willing to learn – no prior cleaning experience needed
- Are flexible – willing to work rotating shifts including weekends and nights
Note that the hospital has specified no requirements in terms of educational qualification, language or experience rather the company is willing to offer training to its employees on the job.
Key Responsibilities
As a Cleaner at Health New Zealand, your responsibilities will include the following:

| Bed Discharge Cleaning | Clean patient rooms thoroughly after discharge |
| Decontamination Cleaning | Perform detailed cleaning in isolation rooms using specialized Bioquell systems |
| Curtain Hanging | Replace curtains in patient areas (requires ladder use) |
| Area-Specific Duties | Follow cleaning checklists tailored to hospital areas |
Work Conditions
This is a physically active, on-site role in a hospital environment. Shifts vary across mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends—so flexibility is essential.
