Not too long ago, I picked up my first-ever pair of Golden Goose sneakers (which I originally featured in this post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also had them long enough that I can confidently speak to their craftsmanship, and a variety of other factors about them, which you’ll see broken down further.

Where were you able to get your pair?
I ordered mine from Cettire when they had a solid deal going on.
I ordered them on the 28th of April and they were at my door by the 30th, so the shipping was really quick and that’s a win in my book
How expensive are they?
I snagged a pair for $385.43, though they usually go for around $513.91.
These sneakers typically cost anywhere between $400 to nearly $1,700, depending on how embellished they are.
How is the fit?
I’d say they black golden goose fit true to size, based on my pair.
They haven’t stretched noticeably, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up a size
Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good right away. No-show socks help with the break-in period, especially since they help with airflow. Top-quality leather, so it’s much more comfortable than breaking in plastic-based shoes. Plus, they’re already softened so your feet just slide in.
How do they perform over time?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they’ve held up beautifully. The laces are intact, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. There’s a secret wedge inside that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is one of a kind. And the shine on mine? Next-level.
Would you buy again?
Totally! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They cost a lot, so getting them with a promo is smarter. They’re worth the investment, especially if you get a pair you love. I went bold with sparkle, but a low-key version would also look great.
